Ben DeHondt

Personal Trainer

Ben DeHondt’s passion for health and fitness has grown increasingly greater ever since sprinting in high school track, running cross country, and taking a weightlifting class. His love of sports and exercise led his pursuit of a career in the fitness field, going on after high school to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with an Exercise Science Concentration at Oakland University in 3 years. During this time he was a Personal Trainer for OU Recreation and Well-Being, helping clients reach their fitness goals and complete lifestyle changing programs. He is continuing his education pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science at OU while serving as a graduate teaching assistant, lecturing undergraduate students on entry level exercise concepts.

Ben constantly works to improve his own health and fitness, regularly training to improve his physique through resistance training, competing in 5k and 10k distance races, and running sprint workouts on the track.

He believes that “Exercise doesn’t have to be that dreadful thing you do because you feel guilty. It can become a fulfilling way of life. Something that builds you up, makes you feel confident, and allows you to help others out along your journey”.
